Homemade Alfredo Sauce

Ingredients:

2 Tbs butter, unsalted
2 Tbs  all-purpose flour
¼  tsp fresh garlic, minced or pressed
½ C vegetable or chicken broth
½ C low-fat milk
½ C parmesan cheese, grated
½ tsp red pepper flakes

Cooking Instructions:

Melt butter in a small sauce pan over medium-low heat. Add garlic and let cook for about 2 minutes, being careful not to burn the garlic. Add flour and mix until well blended. Cook another 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add broth and milk, stirring constantly, and cook another 3 minutes. Add the parmesan cheese and pepper flakes and cook another 5 minutes, whisking sauce until smooth. Serve hot.

Yield: 1 ½ cups sauce

Tip: Chop up Barber Foods Chicken Fingers or Chicken Grillables and serve over a bed of pasta tossed in Homemade Alfredo Sauce.
