Bruce Wagner Named CEO of Barber Foods

Bruce Wagner has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer of Barber Foods, the premier manufacturer of Stuffed Chicken Breasts. Bruce joined Barber Foods in November 2007 as Chief Operating Officer. Wagner has over 30 years of successes building growth and operating excellence in a variety of manufacturing and service companies.
Wagner invested the majori ty of his career at W.R. Grace where he last served as President of their global packaging business, Darex Container Products. Darex Container is the preeminent supplier of FDA grade sealants used to protect over 300 billion food packages annually. He also served as Vice President of Grace’s Cryovac business in the mid 1990’s. This background has given him a profound understanding of the processed food industry, and the operating capabilities needed for success.
Wagner is a 1974 graduate of Lafayette College in Easton, Penn. In 1992, he completed the Greater Boston Executive Management Program at MIT, and in 1996 completed the advanced management program at INSEAD (European Institute of Business Administration) in Fontainebleau, France.
Wagner specializes in developing market-inspired strategies and supporting them with advanced processes such as Six Sigma and Stage Gate New Product Development. Wagner will build on Barber Foods' entrepreneurial culture and core products, accelerating the company's journey to be a world-class specialty food company.
